Terawatt was founded in 2025 by a team of energy operators, embedded systems engineers, and enterprise software builders who had worked across solar, wind, and battery storage deployments in Nigeria. We had seen the same dysfunction repeat itself across every organization we worked with.
Excellent renewable energy assets, well-designed, well-financed, well-intentioned being let down at the operational layer. Faults going undetected for weeks. Field technicians arriving on-site without the right information. Investors receiving performance reports assembled from manual exports and gut-checks. The infrastructure was getting smarter. The operations layer was not keeping pace.
We didn't build Terawatt because we saw a market opportunity. We built it because we were the people who needed it and it didn't exist. That's still the clearest way we can explain why we are here.
